4HR Sanctuary's mission is to provide shelter and support to animals in need in as natural an environment as possible.
We provide free roaming herd dynamics for the animals we care for.
We believe that everyone benefits from a safe, comfortable and natural place to call home.
We work tirelessly to make that a reality for the animals, the grounds, and for people to all enjoy simultaneously.

HORSES
Horses live together in a free roaming herd across the property.
Each horse has a stall with a run to call their own for when a stall is needed and spend the majority of time out free roaming as they please getting to enjoy herd dynamics and a way of living as God designed horses to live and interact with each other.

The dynamics of a herd can teach & role model for people amazing dynamics of leadership, community, play, relaxation & loyalty.

Mr. Kevin Peacocki:
He showed up one day & decided to make the Sanctuary home.
He wondered the Prochnow neighborhood for a several weeks & was called 'Kevin' by the neighborhood. We were excited when he decided to move in with us.
He initially perched on 1 of 2 trees overnight,
then decided the cabin was the biggest tree on the prope

The Ducklings have become his family & he is a 'guard' peacock alerting us when danger is near protecting his beloved friends!

Baby ducklings arrived this year and have grown into full size ducks.
They can be hand fed and love to waddle around & swim together.
They are one of the happiest bunches on the ranch & bring pure joy to us everyday.

Deer visit almost daily as well as many other wildlife animals.
You will see Wild Bunnies running about.
We have 2 to 3 resident Road Runners on the property.
We have had a Wild Turkey make her nest here and hatch her babies.
Numerous Birds dance from tree to tree and fill the air with their melodies.
You will find several bird feed

Fabio is a FRESIAN with long flowing mane and tail. A TRUE BEAUTY!
He is the Protector of the Herd.

Bandit is a SADDLEBRED Horse and 'Jack of all Trades'!
He is the go-to horse for what ever is needed and always ready to go!
Bandit has pulled horse carriages, works well with children, can run barrels, or take part in almost any event!
Bandit and Fabio arrived together and came here so they could stay together and live their best lives!

Kozmo is the new kid on the block!
Kozmo is a 6 year old GYPSY / FRESIAN mix. He is the largest horse on the property and a true GENTLE GIANT!
Kozmo is friendly to all people who visit and the happiest to have recently joined a free roaming herd!

We have one rescue Bunny, Onyx,& numerous wild bunnies who run the property. Wild bunnies are most easily seen as evening turns into night across the pastures & open spaces next to the arenas.

You will hear birds singing and playing all across the property daily. Hummingbirds, Blue Jays, Dove Pairs, Robins, Ravens, and even a Momma Turkey are known to live at the property and bless us with their songs and dances through the trees & skies.
